Associate Director of Recruiting Job # ADRC

The Associate Director of Recruiting will be a key member of our highly respected Accounting and Finance practice and will have an opportunity to develop, maintain and manage a diversified team of Associates for project engagements.  In this unique role, you will have an opportunity to leverage your recruiting experience in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.


The Associate Director of Recruiting reports to the Managing Director.   We offer an excellent compensation package that includes a competitive base salary and incentive plan. The long-term success of this individual will only be limited by his/her performance.

 

Job Description

Associate Relationship Management:

  • Develop recruiting strategies based on market conditions, existing Associate team and current/projected client engagements

  • Recruiting source development calls and source visits (CPA firm alumni, etc.)

  • Internet candidate sourcing (email and phone call)

  • Participate in off-site recruiting, seminars and events with qualified professionals

  • Recruiting calls to potential Associates (those working for competitors)

  • Review new candidates and request referrals from Executive Recruiters

  • Request candidate referrals from candidates and Associates

  • Update calls and email to Available/Unavailable Associates and Candidates

  • Follow up/thank you calls for Associate referrals

  • Email "Open" engagements to recruiting sources, candidates and Associates

  • Prescreen candidates and schedule for interviews

  • Conduct in-depth performance based candidate interviews to understand and evaluate the skills and competencies of prospective Associates

  • Negotiate compensation

  • Check candidate references and evaluate

  • Verify employment, academic degrees and professional licenses

  • Collect required employee application paperwork

  • Select data codes for Associate Tempus Fugit file

  • Training of new Associate Director — Recruiting (as needed)

  • Present Associate/Recruitment development updates at weekly team meetings

  • Update and maintain Associate Status

Opportunity Management Responsibilities:

  • Assist Client Services team with determining matches for open projects

  • Participate in business development discussions with Client Services team

  • Email open projects to Associates

Project Management Responsibilities:

  • Manage Associate deployment, scheduling and project-end dates by communicating frequently with Associates to reduce "unassigned" time and ensure that Associates expectations are being met

  • Assist Client Services team with engagement related issues

Professional Qualifications:

  • 3 - 8 years of professional experience in Accounting, Finance, or Internal Audit.
  • 4-year bachelor degree preferred
  • CPA or MBA a plus.
  • Technically proficient with Internet recruiting.
  • An extensive professional network in the Los Angeles and Orange County area is a helpful.

  • Strong communication skills and proven ability to develop business relationships.
  • A high level of enthusiasm for building a business, a sense of urgency and a capacity to overcome obstacles.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities/projects.
