Chief Financial Officer


Our client in the service industry is looking for a Chief Financial Officer to join their team in the San Gabriel Valley.

 

Job Description:

  • Oversee the company’s accounting and finance functions
  • Act as financial advisor as a member of the executive team
  • Manage preparation of budgets, financial analysis, reporting and financial statements; communicate results to the executive team
  • Manage and maintain KPIs and other metrics
  • Oversee cash and risk management
  • Develop financial and tax strategies
  • Manage audits and tax preparation
  • Prepare reports for the executive team
  • Oversee human resources and operations
  • Communicate regularly with internal and external constituents
  • Ensure compliance with controls, processes, policies and procedures
  • Review and implement improvements to controls, processes, policies and procedures
  • Keep abreast of functional and industry trends, developments and best practices
  • Supervise, hire and train staff; manage employee relations and performance reviews
  • Other duties and special projects as needed

 

Requirements:

  • CPA license preferred
  • Advanced degree preferred
  • Experience overseeing GL accounting, financial analysis, reporting, human resources and operations
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Experience with accounting systems
  • Strong leadership, management, analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, presentation and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences
  • Able to manage competing priorities with accuracy and efficiency
  • Able to work both independently and collaborate as part of a team
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities; sense of urgency
  • Able to be discrete with confidential information
  • Detail, deadline and goal-oriented

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field and a minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience, including at least 5 years at the manager level or above
