VP of Finance


Our client in the service industry is looking for a VP of Finance to join their team in Orange County.

 

Job Description:

  • Oversee the day-to-day finance function
  • Manage the financial analysis, planning and budgeting processes
  • Serve as a financial advisor to the executive team/management
  • Provide support for new business, M&A and investment initiatives
  • Manage pricing and profitability analyses
  • Identify opportunities for financial and/or operational improvements
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the company’s structure, operations and history
  • Conduct market and industry research
  • Oversee risk management
  • Prepare reports for the executive team
  • Review and implement improvements to controls, processes, policies and procedures
  • Supervise, hire and train staff; manage employee relations and performance reviews
  • Keep abreast of functional and industry trends, developments and best practices
  • Other duties and special projects as needed

 

Requirements:

  • CPA, CFA or similar certification preferred
  • Advanced degree preferred
  • Experience at a mid-sized or large company
  • Experience at a company with multiple divisions/locations strongly desired
  • Proven experience leading an FP&A team
  • Extensive experience in investment analysis, budgeting and forecasting
  • Advanced business and financial modeling skills
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Strong leadership, management, analytical, critical and strategic thinking, problem-solving, presentation and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences
  • Able to manage competing priorities with accuracy and efficiency
  • Able to work both independently and collaborate as part of a team
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities; sense of urgency
  • Able to work cross-functionally with ease

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or related field and a minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience, including at least 5 years at the management level
