Accounts Payable Specialist

Our client in the consumer products industry is looking for a Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team in Orange County

 

Job Description:

  • Oversee overcharges discrepancies or data entry errors on accounting documents
  • Prepare and process all accounts payable invoices, check requests, and expense report payments
  • Perform weekly check runs
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations
  • Prepare and review vendor statements and resolving discrepancies
  • Assist with answering vendor inquiries
  • Prepare and maintain vendor payable files, requesting W9s and contracts and agreements
  • Prepare annual processing of Form 1099s
  • Help file documents
  • Perform year-end archiving of documents
  • Performs other dutie

 

Requirements:

  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel and ERP system skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience
