Senior Payroll Specialist

Our client in the manufacturing industry is looking for a Senior Payroll Specialist to join their team in Los Angeles County

 

Job Description:

  • Prepare payroll bi-weekly payroll
  • Oversee general inquiries
  • Help AP clerk and provide back up for Expense Reimbursement processing
  • Assist with all payroll-related systems inquiries
  • Help maintain database and time entry
  • Prepare open and close pay periods
  • Perform expense reimbursement journal entry
  • Help import and export payroll data
  • Prepare standard reports for management
  • Help troubleshoot payroll issues
  • Assist HR team to improve processes within software
  • Assist with New Hire Orientation
  • Assist with ongoing and seasonal projects
  • Perform annual performance review process/reports/updates
  • Perform ad-hoc projects

 

Requirements:

  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel and ADP system skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences
  • Able to be discreet with confidential/sensitive information
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Detail-oriented

  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources or related field and a minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience
