Interim Senior Payroll Specialist (Project)

Our client in the manufacturing / distribution industry is looking for an Interim Senior Payroll Specialist to join their team in Los Angeles.

 

Job Description:

  • Process payroll
  • Maintain payroll system up to date
  • Assist with expense reimbursement processing
  • Perform journal entry reconciliation
  • Generate standard reports for management
  • Troubleshoot payroll issues
  • Serve as a liaison to vendors, auditors, and local and federal agencies
  • Work with the HR team to improve processes
  • Assist with new hire orientation
  • Assist with annual 401k audit
  • Ad-hoc projects

 

Requirements:

  • Experience with corporate 401(k) plan
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Working experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to be discreet with confidential/sensitive information
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or related field and a minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience
