Interim Payroll Tax Specialist (Project)

Our client in the real estate industry is looking for an Interim Payroll Tax Specialist to join their team in Orange County

 

Job Description:

  • Perform research, analysis and necessary reconciliation to respond to and resolve agency related payroll tax notices
  • Assist with requests for information and follows up with internal/external audit
  • Assist in the research of unemployment tax issues
  • Assist Payroll Manager to process weekly, biweekly or semimonthly payrolls
  • Perform a final audit of all data received, entered and exchanged
  • Help resolve complicated inquiries
  • Perform research and resolve inquiries referring to company policies and
  • Assist in processing payroll entries
  • Assist with functional units with special/exception payrolls and related reporting
  • Perform and assist in periodic and annual payroll audits

 

Requirements:

  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel and ADP skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to be discreet with confidential/sensitive information
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Detail and deadline-oriented

  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or related field and a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience
