Property Accountant

Our client in the real estate company industry is looking for a Property Accountant to join their team in Orange County


Job Description:

  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations, balance sheet, pre-paid, security deposit and accrued expense reconciliations
  • Record and deposit payments received
  • Perform, process and post debt balances and payments
  • Prepare and book monthly journal entries related to financial statements
  • Help track property tax and insurance payments
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements
  • Verify the propriety of recorded payables and receivables
  • Assist in budget preparation and tax calculations
  • Perform the re-forecasting annual budgets on a monthly basis
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting
  • Ensure all audit/tax adjustments are posted
  • Perform monthly activities processing and storing the various month-end reports



  • Experience in hospitality, real estate or related industries
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel and Adobe skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to be discreet with confidential/sensitive information
  • Able to work both independently and collaborate as part of a team
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong work ethic



  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience
