Payroll and Benefits Associate

Our client in the retail industry is looking for a Payroll and Benefits Associate to join their team in the San Fernando Valley.

 

Job Description:

  • Oversee pay computations and adjustment codes
  • Review and approve time records
  • Adjust sick/vacation accrual balances
  • Perform and export payroll run and audits
  • Enter and adjust entries, bi-weekly payroll records and audit report and billing discrepancies
  • Review and process retro-active pay requests
  • Oversee, validate and reconcile payroll taxes, quarterly tax statements and annual W2s
  • Process wage garnishments, court ordered deductions, and child support withholdings
  • Oversee payroll and final check deductions
  • Assist with financial modeling, forecasting, budget, variance analysis and cost reduction analysis

 

Requirements:

  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills and Dayforce a plus
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to be discreet with confidential/sensitive information
  • Detail-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, human resources or related field and a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience
