Interim Accounts Payable Specialist (Project)

Our client in the transportation industry is looking for an Interim Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team in Orange County


Job Description:

  • Preform general ledger reconciliations
  • Prepare prepayments and general accruals schedules
  • Calculate, post business transactions, process invoices and verify financial data
  • Resolve purchase order, contract, invoice or payment discrepancies/documentation
  • Verify, prepare and perform daily check runs and insurance claim requests
  • Create and assist with purchase orders/requests
  • Assist with billing processes, month-end close, fixed asset register, depreciation schedules and property tax preparation
  • Manage Corporate credit card and expense reporting programs



  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel and ERP system skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to be discreet with confidential/sensitive information
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Detail and deadline-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic



  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or related field and a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience
