Interim Controller (Project)

Our client in the consumer products industry is looking for an Interim Controller to join their team in the San Fernando Valley


Job Description:

  • Oversee and manage the accounting department
  • Help reconcile daily cash flow activities
  • Propose payments to be released based on cash availability
  • Ensure that accounts payable are processed and collect accounts receivable
  • Prepare and process payroll
  • Prepare and maintain the chart of accounts
  • Prepare and complete financial statements
  • Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics
  • Develop and manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts
  • Manage annual business tax license renewals
  • Prepare and process monthly and quarterly sales tax returns
  • Manage multiple benefit programs
  • Manage employee garnishments



  • CPA or CMA license
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills and NetSuite
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and problem solving ability
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to be discreet with confidential/sensitive information
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Able to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency while meeting deadlines
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong work ethic



  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration or related field and a minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience
