Interim Payroll Specialist (Project)

Our client in the manufacturing/distribution industry is looking for an Interim Payroll Specialist to join their team in Orange County


Job Description:

  • Perform exception report daily
  • Perform time and attendance reports on a daily & weekly
  • Review and correct missed punches on a daily basis
  • Help respond to employee requests for login resets
  • Assist with internal and external inquiries
  • Prepare new team member orientation packets, and coordinate facility tours
  • Assist with full cycle recruiting
  • Assist employees with basic HR questions and activities
  • Help maintain team member files and personnel forms
  • Oversee opening, sorting, distributing and incoming HR/payroll mail
  • Prepare outgoing mail and packages
  • Help coordinate and schedule meetings and appointments
  • Perform general administrative tasks


  • PHR or Generalist certification preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences
  • Able to be discreet with confidential/sensitive information
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Detail-oriented

  • Strong work ethic


  • Bachelor’s degree preferred and a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience
