Accounting Manager

Our client in the construction/engineering industry is looking for an Accounting Manager to join their team in Orange County

 

Job Description:

  • Oversee financial statements, financial variance analyses and GL transactions
  • Responsible for navigating and extracting data from financial systems
  • Responsible for writing quarterly balance sheet fluctuations
  • Review and suggest improvements to processes
  • Perform compliance testing
  • Evaluate and improve internal controls, policies and procedures
  • Review monthly general journal entries, income/balance sheet statements and account reconciliations

Requirements:

  • CPA license preferred
  • Public/Big 4 accounting experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and SOX preferred
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills and ERP systems preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Detail-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and a minimum of 7 years’ relevant experience
