Our client in the technology industry is looking for a Payroll Manager to join their team in the San Fernando Valley
Job Description:
- Manage the semi-monthly and monthly payroll
- Prepare payroll related journal entries and monthly general ledger reconciliations
- Provide payroll and compensation reporting
- Prepare and maintain accurate and complete employee records and payroll documentation to support regulatory, legal and audit compliance
- Perform research complex payroll issues, drawing on expertise from online research tools, the legal and tax departments and external service providers
- Help maintain and update timekeeping database for multi-state hourly time records
- Help maintain employee data, handle employee questions and follow-up emails
Requirements:
- Certified Payroll Professional certification a plus
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel and ERP system skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Able to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences
- Able to be discreet with confidential/sensitive information
- Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
- Able to adapt to changing priorities
- Detail-oriented
- Strong work ethic
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience
