Our client in the financial services industry is looking for a Controller to join their team in the Los Angeles County
Job Description:
- Prepare financial statements
- Oversee expenses, cash outflows, audit and tax returns
- Prepare and coordinate annual Form 10-Ks and the quarterly Form 10-Qs filing
- Help establish and maintain cash controls
- Prepare annual operating budget, financial forecasts and financial statements
- Help evaluate and improve operational/management processes and internal controls
- Oversee purchasing and payroll activity, AP/AR activity, banking relationships and asset inventory and depreciation schedule maintenance
- Help draft new business prospective budgets and determine cost effectiveness
- Help file appropriate business and regulatory filings
- Maintain Intellectual Property, books and records
- Supervise senior accountants
Requirements:
- CPA license preferred
- Experience in the investment management or related industries
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Able to adapt to changing priorities
- Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
- Detail-oriented
- A team player
- Strong work ethic
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field and a minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience
