Payroll Coordinator

Our client in the service company industry is looking for a Payroll Coordinator to join their team in Los Angeles County.

 

Job Description:

  • Validate tax reports for accuracy
  • Assist with tax filing for all jurisdictions
  • Assist with W-2 processing and distribution
  • Create and validate bi-weekly/semi-monthly GL files
  • Help ensure correct reclassification of expenses
  • Post journal entries
  • Assist with account reconciliation.
  • Provide payroll data to help answer all government surveys
  • Present analysis of payroll data to explain trends, forecasting, and budget variances
  • Preform timecard edits to ensure accurate payroll processing
  • Assist HR with employee processing
  • Ensure accurate withholding of deductions
  • Assist with projects on various issues when needed

 

Requirements:

  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Working knowledge of Kronos, PeopleSoft, ADP, and 3E a plus
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to be discreet with confidential/sensitive information
  • Able to work both independently and collaborate as part of a team
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or related field and a minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience
