Interim Staff Accountant (Project)

Our client in the manufacturing/distribution services industry is looking for an Interim Staff Accountant to join their team in the Santa Barbara County

 

Job Description:

  • Compile and analyze financial information
  • Prepare monthly journal entries and GL reconciliation
  • Manage unusual transactions, discrepancies and expenditure trends
  • Prepare year-end audit/review schedules, financial reports and financial close calendar
  • Assist with deliverables and quarterly/year-end audits
  • Responsible for financial reporting templates and property tax documentation
  • Responsible for submitting certified payroll reports and payments
  • Produce daily cash balances

 

Requirements:

  • CPA preferred
  • Experience in the financial services, real estate or related industries
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to be discreet with confidential/sensitive information
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Detail-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field and a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience
