Senior Accountant

Our client in the manufacturing/distribution industry is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team in the Santa Barbara County.

 

Job Description:

  • Support monthly close activities
  • Analyze accounting results, investigate variances
  • Review staff accountant work
  • Manage GL
  • Assist with audits
  • Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned
  • Review and suggest internal financial controls and procedures
  • Review implement improvements to processes, policies and procedures

 

Requirements:

  • CPA a plus
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or related field and a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience
