Accounting Manager

Our client in the manufacturing/distribution industry is looking for an Accounting Manager to join their team in Los Angeles County.

 

Job Description:

  • Responsible for month-end G/L close
  • Perform account reconciliation and analysis
  • Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules
  • Assist with budget preparation and forecasting
  • Analyze actual vs. budget
  • Assist with audits
  • Evaluate capital expenditures
  • Ensure SOX compliance
  • Prepare analysis of AR balances and payment trends
  • Perform physical inventory audits
  • Review and suggest improvements to processes, policies and procedures
  • Assist with special projects as assigned

 

Requirements:

  • CPA and/or MBA a plus
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Detail-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field and a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience
