Senior General Ledger Accountant

Our client in the healthcare industry is looking for a Senior General Ledger Accountant to join their team in the Alameda County

 

Job Description:

  • Manage revenue and expense accounting/reporting
  • Perform monthly financial close
  • Prepare journal entries
  • Reconcile accounts, analytics and reporting requirements
  • Prepare internal/external review and audits
  • Review and suggest improvements to processes, policies and procedures

 

Requirements:

  • CPA license preferred
  • Public/Big 4 accounting experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and SOX
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to work both independently and collaborate as part of a team
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Detail-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field and a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience
