Senior Accountant

Our client in the manufacturing/distribution industry is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team in Santa Barbara County.

 

Job Description:

  • Manage complex or non-routine transactions
  • Provide assistance for special projects
  • Help resolve and document issues that arise during the quarter
  • Prepare and record journal entries
  • Analyze information to identify trends
  • Assist with income statements and balance sheets
  • Assist with audits
  • Prepare and file annual 1099s
  • Create and maintain analytical reports
  • Review and suggest improvements to processes, policies and procedures

 

Requirements:

  • CPA license
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems a plus
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to work both independently and collaborate as part of a team
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Detail-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or related field and a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience
