Payroll Benefits Specialist

Our client in the entertainment industry is looking for a Payroll Benefits Specialist to join their team in Orange County

 

Job Description:

  • Perform bi-weekly payroll processing, deductions, payments, adjustments, analytical review, audit and reconciliation
  • Maintain transaction documentation
  • Assist with and prepare quarterly/year end reports
  • Provide user training
  • Continuously evaluate and improve internal controls
  • Review and suggest improvements to processes, policies and procedures
  • Process final checks
  • Manage benefit administration
  • Respond to benefit inquiries
  • Process data updates and status changes
  • Perform bi-weekly benefit deduction reconciliations
  • Process new/exit employee paperwork
  • Assist with leave of absence notifications
  • Maintain personnel files, confidential medical files and payroll files

 

Requirements:

  • Certified Payroll Professional preferred
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills and ADP Workforce Now experience
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to be discreet with confidential/sensitive information
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Detail-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and a minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience
