Accounting Manager

Our client in the consumer products industry is looking for an Accounting Manager to join their team in the Los Angeles County

 

Job Description:

  • Manage cash collection and management
  • Prepare cash requirements, ACH requests and bank reconciliation
  • Serve as a liaison between departments
  • Perform payroll-related journal entries and reconciliations
  • Perform Monthly credit card reconciliations
  • Oversee AP/AR, billing and collections
  • Review and suggest improvements to processes, policies and procedures
  • Prepare and analyze financial and operational reports
  • Assist with budget and forecasts
  • Maintain and manage budget reporting variances
  • Manage monthly accounting close cycle and assist with annual accounting close
  • Maintain accounting records
  • Review and audit GL, AP/AR and billings systems
  • Oversee, hire and train accounting staff
  • Manage schedules and workflow
  • Help resolve complaints and problems

 

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Detail-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field and a minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience
