Accounts Payable Specialist

Our client in the nonprofit industry is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team in Santa Barbara County

 

Job Description:

  • Process invoices within accounts payable
  • Prepare, process and distribute A/P checks weekly
  • Assist the purchasing department to obtain purchase orders and proof of receipt
  • Help process Travel Expense Reports
  • Initiate wire transfers and electronic payments
  • Assist with accounting month-end close process
  • Update and maintain Accounts Payable files
  • Assist with documenting accounts payable processes
  • Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures

 

Requirements:

  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel and ERP system skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Able to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency while meeting deadlines
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Detail-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience
