Interim Accounts Payable Specialist (Project)

Our client in the manufacturing/distribution industry is looking for an Interim Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team in Santa Barbara County.

 

Job Description:

  • Process and code invoices for approval
  • Process and distribute A/P checks
  • Assist with obtaining purchase orders and proof of receipt
  • Process and review Travel Expense Reports
  • Help follow up on payment inquiries
  • Initiate wire transfers and electronic payments
  • Assist with month-end close process
  • Update and maintain AP files
  • Help document AP processes
  • Help implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures
  • Assist with year end 1099 processing and filing
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Requirements:

  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Strong experience in Concur, Sage 100 or other equivalent system experience a plus
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Detail-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or related field and a minimum of 2 relevant experience
