Interim Accounting Manager (Project)

Our client in the manufacturing/distribution industry is looking for an Interim Accounting Manager to join their team in Orange County

 

Job Description:

  • Oversee GL and sub ledgers
  • Manage monthly close and GL and sub ledgers maintenance
  • Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Assist with financial audits
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual reporting packages
  • Help coordinate monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities
  • Develop and provide financial analysis/modeling and performance metrics
  • Continuously evaluate and improve internal controls
  • Review and suggest improvements to processes
  • Manage and conduct complex financial/business analysis
  • Prepare complex reports
  • Help identify issues/problems and recommend solutions

 

Requirements:

  • CPA license
  • Public accounting experience
  • Experience in the distribution industry or related industries preferred
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills and ERP system experience
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Detail-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and a minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience
