Assistant Controller

Our client in the real estate industry is looking for an Assistant Controller to join their team in Orange County

 

Job Description:

  • Analyze budget vs. actual; report variances
  • Produce journal entries
  • Prepare monthly balance sheets and P&L
  • Prepare supplemental financial schedules
  • Compile reporting package
  • Prepare the quarterly financial statement package
  • Assist with treasury management and budget projections
  • Assist with SEC filings as applicable

 

Requirements:

  • Real Estate experience, specifically with REITs
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Microsoft Dynamics experience a plus
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Detail-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience
