Interim Accounting Specialist (Project)

Our client in the financial services industry is looking for an Interim Accounting Specialist to join their team in the Walnut Creek area.

 

Job Description:

  • Assist with the Fix assets depreciation schedule
  • Assist with state exams and year-end audit
  • Assist with tax returns
  • Prepare deposits and prepaid deposit entries
  • Monitor daily bank balances
  • Bank/GL reconciliation
  • Perform data entry, scanning and filing
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • MAS200 or MAS90 experience preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to be discreet with confidential/sensitive information
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience
