Accounting Manager

Our client in the manufacturing/distribution industry is looking for a Accounting Manager to join their team in the Ventura County.

 

Job Description:

  • Review and suggest improvements to policies and procedures
  • Prepare and analyze financial and operational reports
  • Prepare reports
  • Prepare budgets and forecasts
  • Manage monthly accounting close cycle
  • Prepare month-end financial statement
  • Review and analyze financial information
  • Oversee GL, AP and AR systems
  • Manage quarterly excess and inventory review process
  • Create and implement annual department strategic plan
  • Coordinate year-end audits
  • Maintain and manage department budget
  • Hires, train and supervise staff

 

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills and ERP systems experience
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Detail-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field and a minimum of 7 years’ relevant experience
