Payroll Manager

Our client in the entertainment industry is looking for a Payroll Manager to join their team in the San Fernando Valley.

 

Job Description:

  • Process bi-weekly payroll
  • Research and resolve paychecks, deduction and/or taxes issues
  • Oversee paycheck processing
  • Update payroll records
  • Manage on-boarding, off-boarding and employee changes
  • Responsible for year-end preparations, documentation, employee tax issue and annual audits
  • Help compile summaries
  • Manage eligibility data, enrollment, deductions, and process contributions
  • Help audit benefit records
  • Manage and record payroll and benefits accruals
  • Prepare payroll allocation files
  • Oversee time tracking system
  • Prepare year-end ACA reporting
  • Review and suggest improvements to processes

 

Requirements:

  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to be discreet with confidential/sensitive information
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Detail-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in or related field and a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience
