Senior Property Accountant

Our client in the financial services industry is looking for a Senior Property Accountant to join their team in Los Angeles County.

 

Job Description:

  • Oversee financial results in monthly review and presentation to management
  • Assist, review and coordinate the workflow
  • Prepare, review and analyze general ledgers, calculate monthly accruals and update balance sheet backup schedules
  • Prepare and review payroll data entries, A/R adjustments, and daily cash receipts journal
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages
  • Help review and prepare reconciliations to balance sheet and income statement
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly variance analysis and monthly balance sheet analysis
  • Prepare detailed year-end financial reconciliations, analyses and working papers
  • Assist internal and external auditors
  • Prepare quarterly forecasts, adjustments and security deposit transactions
  • Prepare annual budget package, detailed variance analysis, and balance sheet analysis

 

Requirements:

  • CPA license preferred
  • Public accounting experience
  • Experience in the financial services, real estate or related industries
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills and Yardi
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Detail-oriented

  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance or related field and a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience
