Our client in the financial services industry is looking for a Vice President of Financial Reporting to join their team in the Los Angeles County.
Job Description:
- Perform research on technical accounting pronouncements
- Oversee preparation of financial statements, financial disclosures and reports
- Prepare consolidation assessments
- Assist Investor Relations
- Review and suggest improvements to processes and procedures
- Prepare procedural, disclosure and general form checklists
- Assist with quarterly reviews and year-end audits
- Assist with preparing reports, filings and financial reports
Requirements:
- MBA or Master’s degree preferred
- CPA license
- Public accounting and private industry experience
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Able to work independently and take initiative
- Able to adapt to changing priorities
- Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
- Detail-oriented
- A team player
- Strong work ethic
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and a minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience
