Interim Payroll Manager (Project)

Our client in the entertainment industry is looking for an Interim Payroll Manager to join their team in Los Angeles County

 

Job Description:

  • Manage payroll and payroll tax transactions services
  • Ensure timely and accurate payroll
  • Develop, implement and monitor department policies and procedures
  • Implement and maintain internal financial controls
  • Assist with implementation of payroll process-related technology
  • Help hire, train, and develop staff
  • Help develop budgets and monitor spending
  • Resolve high level account discrepancies
  • Ensures compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Oversee maintenance of payroll records

 

Requirements:

  • Payroll certification a plus
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Working knowledge of Workday and Kronos a plus
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to be discreet with confidential/sensitive information
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Detail-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field and a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience
