Interim Payroll Tax Compliance Specialist (Project)

Our client in the pharmaceutical industry is looking for an Interim Payroll Tax Compliance Specialist to join their team in Los Angeles County


Job Description:

  • Research and resolve payroll related inquiries/problems
  • Responsible for the collection and balancing of time data
  • Produce financial, tax and payroll reports
  • Review and suggest improvements to processes, policies and procedures
  • Help coordinate all payroll tax activities
  • Research and resolve payroll tax notices
  • Implement best practices and cost reduction initiatives
  • Assist with various projects as assigned
  • Ensure accuracy and efficiency on all payroll functions



  • CPP a plus
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to be discreet with confidential/sensitive information
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Detail-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic



  • Bachelor’s degree preferred and a minimum of 7 years’ relevant experience
