Interim Accountant (Project)

Our client in the hospitality industry is looking for an Interim Accountant to join their team in Contra Costa County


Job Description:

  • Maintain journal entries and produce financial statements
  • Maintain spreadsheets
  • Help collect member charges, cash and credit card receipts
  • Perform audits
  • Respond to billing inquiries
  • Process month end A/R closing and reports
  • Prepare bank deposits
  • Process and deposit new member checks
  • Input processing charges and credits
  • Help reconcile bank statements
  • Produce quarterly sales tax report
  • Prepare financial reports
  • Assist Controller



  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Detail-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic



  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field and a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience
