Interim Payroll Specialist (Project)

Our client in the manufacturing industry is looking for an Interim Payroll Specialist to join their team in Orange County


Job Description:

  • Process weekly and biweekly payroll
  • Prepare reports for tracking information
  • Prepare check requests for payment of payroll related items
  • Process special checks outside the biweekly runs, and make edits and adjustments
  • Prepare reports for use in preparation of Journal Entries
  • Prepare monthly accruals related to payroll general ledger accounts
  • Help maintain payroll-related general ledger accounts and reconcile monthly
  • Help report wage and tax information
  • Prepare routine reports and payments to government agencies and insurance companies



  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities

  • Strong work ethic



  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and a minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience
