Payroll Specialist

Our client in the manufacturing industry is looking for a Payroll Specialist to join their team in Orange County

 

Job Description:

  • Process weekly and/or biweekly payroll runs
  • Prepare reports for tracking information
  • Sort and distribute paychecks
  • Prepare check requests for payment of payroll
  • Help process special checks outside the biweekly runs, and make edits
  • Prepare reports for journal entries
  • Prepare monthly accruals
  • Prepare and maintain payroll-related general ledger accounts and reconcile monthly
  • Prepare routine reports and payments to government agencies and insurance companies

 

Requirements:

  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel and ADP skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to be discreet with confidential/sensitive information
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Detail-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and a minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience
