Payroll Tax Compliance Specialist

Our client in the manufacturing industry is looking for a Payroll Tax Compliance Specialist to join their team in Los Angeles County

 

Job Description:

  • Perform research, analyze and resolve payroll related inquiries, problems and general questions
  • Responsible for the collection and balancing of time
  • Help process biweekly, monthly, bonus, and quarter-end adjustment or out-of-sequence payrolls
  • Prepare financial, tax and payroll reports for both internal and external purpose
  • Responsible for the coordination of all payroll tax activities
  • Perform research and resolve payroll tax notices for multi-state tax entities
  • Provide assistance to business units on payroll tax related inquiries
  • Develop, maintain, and deliver company-wide communications
  • Assist with various projects as assigned.
  • Responsible for the coordination and communication of all payroll systems

 

Requirements:

  • CPP accreditation preferred
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel and ADP skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to be discreet with confidential/sensitive information
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Able to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Detail-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field and a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience
