Accounting Manager

Our client in the consulting industry is looking for an Accounting Manager to join their team in Alameda County.

 

Job Description:

  • Manage accounting/banking operations
  • Manage bank and balance sheet accounts reconciliations
  • Develop monthly/quarterly accounting reports
  • Continuously evaluate and improve internal controls
  • Review and suggest improvements to processes
  • Oversee and manage accounting staff
  • Assist with financial planning and analysis
  • Manage posting and journal entries
  • Assist with intercompany transactions
  • Assist with quarterly reviews and year-end financial audits

 

Requirements:

  • CPA or CMA license
  • Big 4 accounting experience a plus
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills and Netsuite experience preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Detail-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, accounting or related field and a minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience
