Interim Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (Project)

Our client in the nonprofit industry is looking for an Interim Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis to join their team in Los Angeles County

 

Job Description:

  • Review business plan submissions and prepare qualitative/quantitative analyses
  • Review budget requests and perform detailed variance analysis
  • Perform comparison of budget requests to prior plans and actual results
  • Help identifying outliers and variances
  • Help analyze financial results and forecasts
  • Review and suggest improvements to processes and procedures
  • Serve as a liaison
  • Help collect data and prepare analyses
  • Prepare and run complex spreadsheets and business planning templates
  • Mentor/train junior analysts

 

Requirements:

  • MBA
  • CPA preferred
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Detail-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and a minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience
