Chief Financial Officer

Our client in the legal services industry is looking for a Chief Financial Officer to join their team in Los Angeles County

 

Job Description:

  • Oversee billing, collections, AP, cash applications and taxes
  • Oversee payroll, financial reporting and analysis and budgeting
  • Provide advising on financial issues and strategic direction
  • Manage and coordinate the annual budget process
  • Manage financial systems
  • Develop financial analyses and benchmarks
  • Continuously evaluate and improve internal controls
  • Oversee cash flow and cash management
  • Manage external relationships
  • Review and suggest improvements to policies and procedures
  • Perform tax report and ERISA report filing
  • Supervise and mentor staff

 

Requirements:

  • MBA preferred
  • CPA license
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills and Aderant experience preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Detail-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience
