Accounting Manager

Our client in the construction/engineering industry is looking for an Accounting Manager to join their team in Orange County

 

Job Description:

  • Manage A/P, A/R, payroll, cash, job cost and monthly reconciliations
  • Review general and subsidiary ledger entries
  • Perform cash management and reporting
  • Assist with month end close process and generation of financial / accounting reports
  • Prepare state sales tax filings
  • Help coordinate schedules and documents
  • Assist with annual budget process
  • Assist with staff training and management
  • Prepare financial statements per quarter
  • Prepare annual consolidated financial statements
  • Perform bookkeeping

 

Requirements:

  • Big 4 accounting experience
  • Experience in the construction or related industries
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills and Sage experience a plus
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field and a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience
