Payroll Manager

Our client in the manufacturing/distribution industry is looking for a Payroll Manager to join their team in Los Angeles County

 

Job Description:

  • Produce biweekly payrolls for exempt and non-exempt personnel
  • Process all employee payroll changes
  • Prepare manual checks as needed
  • Ensure smooth-year end processing
  • Review and process garnishments and levies
  • Create and/or run management reports
  • Update and maintain personnel information
  • Help ensure that employee deductions for health/dental/retirement contributions are accurate
  • Assist with 401(k) enrollments, loans, rollovers and changes
  • Prepare Bonus and Vacation Accruals
  • Assist with audits
  • Assist with Special Projects when needed

 

Requirements:

  • Certified Payroll Professional preferred
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to be discreet with confidential/sensitive information
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Detail-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or related field and a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience
