Interim Accounting Specialist (Project)

Our client in the manufacturing/distribution industry is looking for an Interim Accounting Specialist to join their team in Orange County.

 

Job Description:

  • Manage and maintain company, vendor, and customer data
  • Assist with invoices
  • Manage bills received
  • Create and maintain time tracking records
  • Record bank transactions as needed.
  • Prepare/monitor the preparation of payroll
  • Produce journal entries
  • Track the cash balance
  • Reconcile bank accounts and perform account analysis
  • Prepare 1099s
  • Manage payroll tax deposits

 

Requirements:

  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Working knowledge of QuickBooks and NetSuite a plus
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to be discreet with confidential/sensitive information
  • Able to work both independently and collaborate as part of a team
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Detail-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred and a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience
