Payroll Accountant

Our client in the retail industry is looking for a Payroll Accountant to join their team in the San Gabriel Valley

 

Job Description:

  • Process bi-weekly payroll
  • Oversee garnishment orders
  • Manage payroll time card issues and questions
  • Prepare tax data for transmission to ADP
  • Help reconcile ADP reports
  • Process journal entries and reconcile balance sheet accounts
  • Manage agency notices and send ADP
  • Help training Payroll associates
  • Prepare manual checks

 

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to be discreet with confidential/sensitive information
  • Detail-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and a minimum of 1 years’ relevant experience
