Interim Payroll Specialist (Project)

Our client in the Construction and engineering industry is looking for an Interim Payroll Specialist to join their team in Orange County

 

Job Description:

  • Prepare statistical reports on employee pay and bonuses, retirement, vacation, sick, disability and workers compensation leave; taxes, and withholding
  • Oversee the distribution of paychecks or arranges direct deposit programs
  • Maintain records, ledgers and files
  • Set up and maintain state and local tax accounts
  • Ensure remote employees are compensated according to various state laws
  • Manage 401(k) retirement accounts and produce reporting

 

Requirements:

  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Detail-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred and a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience
