Senior Accountant

Our client in the technology industry is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team in Santa Barbara County.

 

Job Description:

  • Record journal entries
  • Perform GL account reconciliations
  • Support month/year end close
  • Review and suggest improvements to processes, policies and procedures
  • Perform financial statement analysis
  • Coordinate complex accounting projects
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly SEC reporting
  • Assist in merger and acquisition accounting
  • Assist with audits
  • Perform special projects and analyses as assigned

 

Requirements:

  • CPA preferred
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and SEC requirements
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Detail-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field and a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience
