Accountant

Our client in the investment company industry is looking for an Accountant to join their team in Los Angeles County.

 

Job Description:

  • Prepare and maintain financial records for various entities to ensure complete and accurate records
  • Prepare weekly bank reconciliations across multiple entities
  • Help process journal entries, and prepare supporting financial schedules
  • Assist the bank regarding funds transfers, stop payment requests
  • Prepare capital call and distribution calculations, sources/uses of cash, allocations, and investor notices
  • Prepare monthly close work paper files for accuracy and completeness
  • Prepare shadow custody fee calculations and supporting schedules
  • Prepare financial statements, notes disclosures, and supporting schedules
  • Assist with the year-end audit process
  • Prepare tax compliance/reports

 

Requirements:

  • CPA license preferred
  • Experience in real estate industry preferred
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills and Yardi
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience
