Accounting Manager

Our client in the retail industry is looking for a Accounting Manager to join their team in the Los Angeles County.


Job Description:

  • Manage month-end close process
  • Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation
  • Manage full cycle accounting
  • Prepare balance sheet and bank account reconciliations
  • Manage and investigate GL variances
  • Assist with supplier administration
  • Assist with annual sales tax filing preparation
  • Review, analyze and respond to supplier inquiries
  • Perform supplier statement of account reconciliations
  • Assist with monthly/quarterly/annual financial reporting packages preparation
  • Provide analysis and explanations for budget to actual and actual versus historical trend variances
  • Review and suggest improvements to processes



  • Public accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills, NetSuite or ERP system experience
  • Able to be discreet with confidential/sensitive information
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic



  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience
