Chief Financial Officer

Our client in the non profit industry is looking for a Chief Financial Officer to join their team in Alameda County


Job Description:

  • Provide advise on finances
  • Serve as liaison and representative
  • Oversee and manage finance Department
  • Continuously evaluate and improve internal controls
  • Review and suggest improvements to processes, policies and procedures
  • Oversee annual audit
  • Plan and execute the annual budget process
  • Develop annual planning tools and systems
  • Oversee staff training, performance and development goals
  • Manage budget development, financial modeling and forecasting processes



  • Master’s preferred
  • Experience in the non profit or related industries
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and FASB
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills and Sage MIP a plus
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Detail-oriented
  • A team player
  • Strong work ethic



  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and a minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience
